- We had our wedding reception at MCC in November/05 and from the day we walked into the hall for our initial consultation to the moment we walked out at the end of the reception we were treated like royalty. Manny and the staff are fabulous and helped me and my new husband throughout the evening whether it was just a simple question, or how to set up the receiving line. The wedding party didn't even have to move from their seats at the head table to get a drink from the bar. Our wait staff at the head table were constantly offering to grab us whatever we wanted. The food was incredible ... exactly the same as our initial tasting. The presentation of the food was beautiful. We were all offered seconds, and was given the rest of the food to take home that night. We did have a couple of people who did not like the shrimp bisque (didn't like seafood), our wait staff was able to bring them another soup that was to their preference. The open bar had everything you could imagine and the bartender was an absolute sweetheart. Although it's almost been a year since our wedding, we still have friends and family who talk about the reception and how good the food was, how amazing the hall was and how yummy the champagne with strawberries was. If anyone was to ever ask me where they could hold a social event I would without hesitation tell them that Mississauga Convention Centre is without a doubt the best !
